Pricing
The cost of services will be highly dependent on your pets individual needs as each pet will receive a tailored treatment plan. Our current mobile provision is subject to mileage fee depending on your location.
Rehabilitation & Chronic Pain Services
Pets referred for comprehensive rehabilitation will undergo a full clinical assessment by a veterinarian on their first appointment. This includes comprehensive review of your pet's presenting history including any surgical reports and diagnostic imaging from the referring veterinarian. Following on from this full clinical examination is performed which will include range of motion, body measurements, gait & stance analysis, neurologic and orthopaedic assessment, pain score, and a review of any behaviour concerns.
Following on from the initial consultation a dedicated, individual treatment plan will be devised for your pet, including a therapeutic home exercise programme and recommendations regarding hydrotherapy where appropriate. Your pet's initial or subsequent consultations may also include treatment with our modalities such as acupuncture, therapeutic ultrasound, electrical stimulation or laser therapy.
We ask for you to allow up to 1hr 30 for your initial consultation. For this there is a consultation charge of £175 and includes treatment as needed in the clinic on your day of consultation as well as a written report for both you and your primary care veterinary practice. 40 minute follow up veterinary rehabilitation consultations are charged at £85
Individual treatment modalities may then be recommended based on your pets needs. Examples of costings include:
- Physiotherapy session (including use of appropriate treatment modalities): £60
- Acupuncture follow ups including veterinary consultation, review and treatment £85
- Dry needling/laser acupuncture stand alone (added to another procedure): £55.
- Electroacupuncture: from £90
- Laser therapy stand alone: this is charge by time starting at £35 for up to 10 minutes of treatment (£55 if a veterinary surgeon review is required).
- Massage sessions stand alone: Starting from £35
Acupuncture
Pets referred for acupuncture in stand alone must undergo a comprehensive evaluation which includes a full history review and clinical examination prior to needling which is charged at £95 (inc treatment). Depending on your pet's needs this may be via dry needling, laser acupuncture or acupressure (or a combination therapy of the above modalities). Some cases will benefit from electroacupuncture which is subject to additional charges and may require mild sedation.
We ask for you to allow up to 1hr for your initial consultation. Subsequent appointments will last 30 - 45 minutes and are charged at £85 including a veterinary review consultation and needling session. A discount of 10% is applied for block booking a 6 week course of acupuncture (one treatment per week).
Laser Therapy (Photobiomodulation)
Typically we recommend a course of laser therapy and offer a discount on block booking 10 sessions. The price of block booking for Laser Therapy is dependent on the total time of laser your pet will receive and whether a veterinary review is required at each visit. This is dictated by the area(s) of the body to be treated, the condition being managed. As a guideline inclusive of a veterinary review at each visit:
- 10 x Up to 10 minutes of treatment: £500 (saving £50)
- 10 x 10-20minutes of treatment: £675 (saving £75)
- 10 x 20-30minutes of treatment: £850 (saving £100)
All laser sessions must be used within 3 months of the first session booked.
After the initial course of laser treatment laser maintenance therapy sessions can be booked for your pet based on clinical need. With a veterinary surgeon follow up and up to 10minutes of treatment this is charged at £55 a session.
Laser treatment as a stand alone without a veterinary follow up is charged from £35 per session with costing dependent on treatment time.
Weight Loss Clinics
Obese animals usually show signs of concurrent disease: lameness, increased drinking and urinating, increased respiratory effort or panting, sleeping more, poor skin and coat, and heart stress with circulatory malfunction. Depending on your pet's history further diagnostics may be recommended including blood and urine testing, if this have not been reviewed recently with your primary care veterinary practice.
Pets referred for weight loss programmes will undergo a full evaluation on their first appointment. This includes review of their history from the referring veterinarian, diet, current exercise and lifestyle habits. Following this review they will be given a full examination, where we record their weight and body measurements. From this session you, the owner, will receive a detailed plan, which will include exercises to be continued at home with easy to follow supporting literature, and advice guidance on how to safely achieve those weight loss goals. At each session thereafter your pet will be weighed, measured and their exercise protocol reviewed.
